Isabella Maciel
Systems Researcher/Co-director of 3M project
Isabella Maciel serves as a principal investigator/co-director for the Metrics, Management and Monitoring project, a $19 million research granted by the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research, or FFAR. The project aimed at understanding how management decisions on pasture and rangeland are interconnected to the overall health of the ecosystem. She also leads systems research for adoption and application strategies within a regenerative ranching framework and contributes to the development of educational materials.
Previously, Maciel served as Research Associate at Michigan State University. Her past research explored the fundamentals of beef cattle nutrition, food animal production, environment safety and mitigation of greenhouse gas emission.
