The Transformation Core Facility offers Noble Research Institute researchers a central service from which to obtain transgenic plants of various species.
The goal of the Transformation Core Facility is to provide Noble Research Institute researchers convenient and cost-effective transformation services for the pillar species used for basic and applied research. Team members have developed efficient transformation protocols for representatives of the Poaceae (true grasses), Fabaceae (legumes) and Solanaceae (Nicotiana species). The Transformation Core Facility strives to produce a sufficient number of transgenic plants quickly and at minimum cost for the Noble Research Institute's mission work and other accepted research interactions. We also continue our effort to develop systems for new species based on the Foundation's mission, vision and values.
