Joseph Durston

Joseph is responsible for managing the network of over 60 flux towers that make up the 3M project, having overseen the construction and installation of more than half of them. He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in geographical sciences from the University of Bristol and has worked for Quanterra Systems for the past 2.5 years.

His company career began hands-on, with his very first week spent maintaining systems at the Oklahoma Hub, where a mouse had chewed through a cable! In addition to coordinating maintenance schedules, planning future installations, and carrying out fieldwork, Joseph now also plays a key role in monitoring data from the towers, helping to ensure the robustness and reliability of the dataset.
