Ada Smith
Ada Smith is a post-doctoral scholar on the Wellbeing and Resilience module for the 3M project. She co-leads qualitative data collection and analysis, visiting our 60 rancher participants each year to study the social and psychological aspects of grazing management, monitoring, and wellbeing. Smith is currently leading a project focused on producers’ use of monitoring and an interdisciplinary effort combining social data and remote sensing data to understand the drivers of ranch-level change.
Ada works remotely for Oregon State University from her home in Montana. She holds a doctorate in forest and conservation sciences from the University of Montana with expertise in the human dimensions of grazing social-ecological systems.
