Nathan DeLay

Agricultural Economist

Nathan DeLay is an agricultural economist working on the 3M project. Nathan’s role involves analyzing farm financial data to better understand how financial wellbeing relates to grazing management decisions. Nathan is also assessing producers’ willingness to adopt different grazing strategies and modeling the financial impacts of grazing management changes. Nathan earned a doctorate in economics from Washington State University in 2018. He spent four years at Purdue University before joining the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at Colorado State University as an assistant professor in 2022.
