Yezzen Khazindar

Yezzen Khazindar is pursuing a doctorate in Soil and Crop Sciences at Colorado State University and is a member of the Paustian Lab. After three years of researching permafrost soil carbon dynamics at the University of California, Irvine, he’s focusing his doctoral research on modeling the relationship between livestock management strategies and grassland carbon cycles. His work with the 3M project involves working with the modeling module to simulate 59 producer sites across the different ecoregions the project is investigating with MEMS to validate and improve the model.
