Erica Patterson

Doctoral Candidate (Soil Science)

Erica Patterson is a doctoral candidate in the graduate degree program in ecology and the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences at Colorado State University. Erica is part of the 3M soils team and is integral to field sampling, lab work and soil analyses. Erica is interested in understanding the effect of grazing management on soil carbon sequestration and ecosystem health. The data from 3M will play a large part in her dissertation.

Erica grew up in Kentucky and first moved to Colorado in 2010, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in fish wildlife and conservation biology, followed by a master’s degree in conservation leadership.
