Evan Whitley, Ph.D.
Cattle Systems Contract Research Manager
Evan serves as the cattle systems contract research manager. In this role, he coordinates the development and implementation of high quality, applied research programs related to the sustainability of agricultural production systems within the Southern Great Plains.
From 2000 to 2008, Whitley served as a livestock consultant at the Noble Research Institute. Previously, he assisted with the Texas A&M Ranch to Rail North program and the Beef 706 and Beef 808 educational events. He also consulted with numerous cow-calf operations through his employment at the Grazingland Animal Nutrition Laboratory. From 2008 to 2011, he worked for Dakota Beef, a vertically integrated organic beef company, as director of livestock operations and executive vice president.
Whitley was raised in the rural North Texas community of Pilot Point.
