In 2018, the Choctaw Nation partnered with the Noble Research Institute as part of a national pilot program aimed at accelerating safe unmanned aircraft systems (drones) integration into the national airspace system. The partners are focused on rural and agricultural applications of drones

Many at the Noble Research Institute raise cattle and are otherwise engaged in production agriculture outside of their full-time jobs. Others grew up on farms and ranches. These are their stories.

GIS allows us to collect large amounts of data that offer a better picture of agricultural lands. This in turns offers opportunities for farmers and ranchers to make more-informed decisions on their operations.

Noble researchers are testing and improving technologies that can accurately measure forage in the field to predict forage biomass and quality.
