Transportation

Commercial air travel

Commercial air service is available from Will Rogers Airport (Oklahoma City), DFW International Airport (Dallas-Fort Worth) and Love Field (Dallas). Each of these airports is located within a 100-mile (160 km) drive from Ardmore and the Noble Research Institute campus.

The Noble Research Institute provides transportation to and from commercial airports for its employees and employee candidates.

Rail travel

Ardmore has daily passenger rail service to Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, Texas, on Amtrak. Connections are available in both cities to other Amtrak destinations. Rail service to DFW airport is available from the Fort Worth rail terminal.

Personal transportation

Oklahoma, like much of the United States, is highly dependent on transportation by automobile. Most employees find it necessary to have access to a car, motor scooter or other vehicle as most available housing is outside a comfortable walking distance (one mile) from the Noble Research Institute campus.

For employees that are not experienced drivers or who want to learn to drive, the Noble Research Institute provides on-campus defensive driving classes. These classes are provided at no cost to the employee.
