Informa’s Agribusiness Consulting Awarded Economic Assessment Contract

  Estimated read time:

The Noble Research Institute's Ecosystem Service Market (ESM) Program is pleased to announce that it has awarded the contract to develop an economic assessment to Informa's Agribusiness Consulting.

Agribusiness Consulting is part of Agribusiness Intelligence, the leading providers of global information across the value chain, specializing in agri commodities, food production, seed and crop protection, fertilizers, animal health and policy and regulation.

The Noble's ESM effort aims to advance ecosystem service markets to incentivize farmers and ranchers to improve soil health systems benefiting society. The new program is designed to be farmer- and rancher-oriented, focusing on maximizing sustainable agricultural production systems and creating sound social, economic and environmental outcomes that benefit farmers and ranchers and their families and communities.

Informa's Agribusiness Consulting team will engage with the ESM Steering Committee comprised of multiple leads for the Noble Research Institute, nationally recognized agricultural producers, the head of a soil science research center, the sustainability head for a global consumer foods company, the leadership of the National Association of Conservation Districts, the head of a dairy industry firm, and subject matter experts in policy, protocol development, environmental markets, and business development. Informa will also work closely with Kieser & Associates, LLC (K&A), who have been awarded the contract for protocol development for ecosystem service market credits, to create economic assessments that will inform the protocol development process.

The combined expertise of the ESM Steering committee and the Informa team will guarantee a national economic assessment that will provide a solid foundation to creating an ambitious new program focused on improving our nation's soil health.

Noble Research Institute, LLC (www.noble.org) is an independent nonprofit agricultural research organization dedicated to delivering solutions to great agricultural challenges. Headquartered in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Noble’s goal is to achieve land stewardship for improved soil health in grazing animal production with lasting producer profitability. Achievement of this goal will be measured by farmers and ranchers profitably regenerating hundreds of millions of acres of U.S. grazing lands. Noble aims to remove, mitigate or help producers avoid the barriers that deter the lasting use of regenerative, profitable land management practices in grazing animal production.

Researchers, consultants, educators and ranch staff work together to give farmers and ranchers the skills and tools to regenerate the land in a profitable manner. Noble researchers and educators seek and deliver answers to producer questions concerning regenerative management of pasture and range environments, wildlife, pecan production, and livestock production. Regenerative management recognizes that each decision made on the ranch impacts the interactions of the soil, plants, water, animals and producers. Noble’s 14,000 acres of working ranch lands provide a living laboratory on which to demonstrate and practice regenerative principles and ideas to deliver value to farmers and ranchers across the U.S.
