Join us at the Noble Research Institute to learn about management practices for native pecan groves. Consultants and researchers will provide participants the information and tools they need to effectively manage native pecan groves. Topics will include pest management, tree fertilization, wildlife depredation and herbicide use in native groves. In addition, pecan specialists will discuss the importance of tree thinning and spacing within the groves. Management methods will focus on land stewardship, increased productivity and economic efficiency. This seminar is targeted to pecan producers who are working to improve the management of their established native pecan groves. Producers who want to balance pecan and livestock production will have the opportunity to gain the understanding needed to manage both as one system.
