A summer scholarship with the Noble Research Institute is serious business. There's no rest for the weary when you have feral hogs to trap, plant taxonomy to learn, 5 a.m. cattle to work and an all-day softball tournament to attend. Wait, what? A softball tournament ... seriously? It's a team building idea to rival all others, the Parkway Series (aka softball tournament) is where the umps learn the game 10 minutes before we start, outfield is a pond, first base is a mud slide, and the announcers are all about roasting who's on the field. Who knew that this scholarship would be so filled with amazing learning experiences and great entertainment?
