Workshop teaches benefit of proper wildlife management

ARDMORE, Okla. – The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation's Agricultural Division will host a Wildlife Management Workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, July 10, at the Holman Center in Henrietta, Texas.

Entitled "Managing Wildlife on a Changing Landscape," the workshop will introduce new and nontraditional landowners to available resources for habitat and population management, and the benefits of management associations. "Whether you own 10 acres or 10,000 acres, this workshop will give land managers the essential tools they need to manage wildlife on their property," said Will Moseley, wildlife and fisheries consultant at the Noble Foundation.

Presentations will be provided by Noble Foundation consultants Russell Stevens and Moseley, as well as representatives from Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Texas Wildlife Association, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Texas AgriLIFE Extension and Audubon Texas. Other topics to be discussed include the development and growth of antlers, and federal and state programs.
