ARDMORE, Okla. – Twenty students from southern Oklahoma and north Texas took part in The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation's summer camp, AgVenture.

Organized by the Noble Foundation Agricultural Division, AgVenture is a four-day camp for high school students who have shown an interest in agriculture and may be contemplating a career in an agricultural field.

The camp, which took place last week at the Noble Foundation's Ardmore campus, provided students experience in numerous agriculture-related fields, such as new livestock technologies, livestock marketing and farm management, soil conservation, grazing management, commercial fish farming and intensive vegetable production.

"Each year, AgVenture gives a handful of fortunate students a chance to experience real agriculture from wildlife and livestock management to safety and agricultural research," said Shan Ingram, education and special projects manager for the Noble Foundation.
