My current project utilizes transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics to understand specialized root cells, termed border cells, which form a boundary between the root tip and its environment. Although border cells and root tip are produced by the same meristem and exist in close proximity to one another, these root tissues are spatially separate and have distinct biochemistries. More information about the project, "Spatially Resolved and Integrated Transcriptomics, Proteomics, and Metabolomics of Medicago sativa Border Cells".
