Curriculum vitae
My work is a part of the NSF PGRP funded project "An Integrated Approach to Functional Genomics and Bioinformatics in a Model Legume". This project has a functional genomic approach to analyze gene expression, protein levels and metabolites in Medicago truncatula. My work, in particular, utilizes 2D-gel electrophoresis to identify the differences in protein expression between methyl jasmonate elicited and control cell suspension cultures of M. truncatula.
I obtained by Ph.D in spring 2005 from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Oklahoma State University. My doctoral work involved understanding Septin-septin interactions in yeast and the role of GTP binding and/or hydrolysis in these interactions.
