Seasons of significant use: summer

Characteristics: Native, annual, warm season forb to 8.0 feet. Stem usually singular, sometimes with short branches at top; leaves alternate, abundant, narrow, and sessile; inflorescence an elongate terminal cluster with a white or light pink overall appearance. Flowers June-November.

Plant community type: Open uplands and bottomlands. Frequently found on disturbed sites.

Comments: Often abundant in fields plowed the previous year but not plowed the current year.
