Common names: plainleaf pussytoes, ladies tobacco, plaintainleaf pussytoes Scientific names: Antennaria parlinii (A. fallax, A. occidentalis, A. plantaginifolia) Seasons of significant use: fall, winter (for A. parlinii-Gnaphalium spp. complex) Characteristics: Native, perennial, cool season forb to 1.0 foot. Plants often forming mats or colonies. Leaves alternate, simple, mostly basal (basal leaves are distinctly 3-5 nerved and larger than the upper ones), woolly beneath; plants are dioecious.
