Description:
An extremely aggressive, high climbing, intersecting woody vine. Was introduced for erosion control and has escaped over much of the southeast United States. Locally abundant in the eastern portion of our region. Kudzu is a legume and is browsed by wildlife and livestock. Has the ability to choke out all native vegetation, including large trees, thus making it a threat to the natural flora in some areas.
