Description:
A shrub or sometimes small tree occurring in swamps, along streams and on the margins of ponds. Fruits look like brown balls when mature. Sometimes planted as an ornamental due to its attractive flowers. Can provide good cover for some wildlife species and food for some waterfowl. Leaves are reportedly poisonous to humans and livestock.
