Description: An evergreen parasitic shrub on other woody plants. The Latin name tomentosum refers to the dense hair-like covering on young leaves and stems. Most commonly found on Hackberry and Mesquite. All parts of the plant are poisonous and can be fatal to humans and livestock. Fruits are eaten by some species of birds. Mistletoe is the official floral emblem (state flower) of Oklahoma.
