National Academy of Sciences Member to Speak on Cardiovascular Health ARDMORE Dr. Charles Esmon, an Oklahoma scientist who was elected to the prestigious National Academy of Sciences in 2002, is the next speaker in the Noble Foundations Profiles and Perspectives community enrichment series. Esmon, holder of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundations Lloyd Noble Chair in Cardiovascular Research, is recognized as one of the worlds experts in the field of blood coagulation and heart disease research. Dr. Esmon is the fourth Oklahoman elected to the National Academy of Sciences, which was started by President Lincoln in 1863, said Mary Kate Heltzel, chair of the Foundations Profiles and Perspectives Committee. We are honored to host this extremely talented and notable individual as part of our community enrichment series. The program will be on Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m. in the Plainview High School Auditorium located at 1140 S. Plainview Road in Ardmore. All Profiles programs are free and open to the public.
