Profiles and Perspectives to Examine the Multi-Generational Workplace |

the next decade, four generations of Americans will be living and working side-by-side.
With many members of the Baby Boom-era remaining in the workplace, America is
experiencing this generational interaction at levels never before seen. The special
opportunities from such interaction – and relationships – can benefit
each of us. Are you interested in learning about the power that multi-generational
awareness can bring to your workplace, organization or family? Rita Murray, CEO
of Performance Consulting, LLC, of Norman, Okla., will answer those questions
and more during her Profiles and Perspectives program — "Survive
and Thrive in a Multi-Generational Workplace" —on Thursday, March 2,
at 7 p.m. at the Charles B. Goddard Center in Ardmore.
Murray has more than 25 years of experience in organizational development, information technology, presentation skills, executive coaching and business communications. Since beginning her speaking career, she has worked for and with small and corporate businesses, non-profits, government agencies and defense contractors across the United States, including General Electric, IBM, Compaq Computer Corporation, Lockheed, KPMG, Genetech and Rolls Royce, as well as all branches of the United States armed forces. Murray also is the author of Survive and Thrive in a Multi-Generational World, a personal guide to working in today’s American workplace. "Each generation brings unique styles to the workplace and family environment. Through her presentation, Rita Murray will show us how to reap the powerful rewards of multi-generational collaboration and the impact this can have on our culture," said Mary Kate Heltzel, Noble Foundation granting program officer and chair of the Profiles and Perspectives Committee. The 2005-2006 Profiles and Perspectives season closes on Thursday, May 4, with Matthew Simmons, chairman and CEO of Simmons & Company International, a specialized energy investment-banking firm. Simmons' program, entitled "Twilight in the Desert?," addresses how to prepare for a post-peak oil production world.
