OU Professor to Tell 'The Rest of Oklahoma's Story' ARDMORE University of Oklahoma professor of letters Dr. Danney Goble is the next speaker in the Noble Foundation's Profiles and Perspectives lecture series. The presentation is on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Charles B. Goddard Center in Ardmore. Goble, a native Oklahoman born in Stillwater, is descended from pioneers who settled Indian Territory before 1900. Modeled upon the radio broadcasts of Paul Harvey, Goble will share a number of vignettes regarding Oklahomans and their deeds in a program entitled "The Rest of Oklahoma's Story." "Danney Goble's unique approach of sharing the stories of many Oklahomans will be both an enjoyable and educational event for everyone," said Mary Kate Heltzel, chair of the Profiles and Perspectives Committee. "I would like to invite all area residents to join us for a light-hearted, yet informative evening." Profiles and Perspectives will continue on Feb. 26, 2004, with Lowell Catlett, a Regent's Professor at New Mexico State University and well-respected futurist who has a unique understanding of evolving technologies and their implications on how we live and work. Each program in the Profiles and Perspectives series is free and open to the public.
