Variable rate technology demonstration scheduled MARIETTA - Oklahoma State University and the Noble Foundation will sponsor a field demonstration involving a new approach to fertilizing improved pasture. The public is invited to attend the event, which will focus on variable rate technology applications. Speakers at the demonstration will include Drs. Gordon Johnson, Bill Raun, Marvin Stone and John Solie. Topics to be discussed include: * The evolution of variable rate technology * What is sensor-based variable rate technology? * How the applicator works * Forage response compared to the traditional broadcast methods The field demonstration will be held from 10 am to 12 noon on Thursday, June 24, at the Coffey Ranch, located six miles west of Marietta on State Highway 32.
