Noble Foundation Public Field Day To Be Held April 16

ARDMORE, Okla. — The Noble Foundation's annual Public Field Day will be held at Heritage Hall and the Pasture Demonstration Farm (PDF) on Friday, April 16. The field day is in celebration of 40 years of the Foundation's operations at the farm.

"This is a great event that will allow people to see the progress that's been made over four decades of well-planned agricultural management," said Shan Ingram, the Agricultural Division's education and special projects manger. "There will be something in it for everyone — cattle and grass production, economics and even wildlife."

Starting at 8:30 a.m. at Heritage Hall, the day will begin with an overview and history of the farm, followed by talks on livestock production and economics, rotational grazing and sport fishing management. Lunch is provided.

Following lunch, buses will take participants out to PDF for concurrent tours covering livestock production, wildlife management, forages and fertility.

"We'll be dividing people into three groups for the tours and the groups will rotate, so everyone can see everything offered on the tours," Ingram added.

At 4 p.m., the buses will return participants to Heritage Hall for a question-and-answer session.

This event is open to the public and free of charge. Please pre-register by calling Melissa Castleman at (580) 224-6411.
