New Employees Join NF Administrative Staff
Two names have been recently added to the Administrative
Division roster at The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation. Lori Hatfield-Jackson has been named Communications
Director, and John Snelson has assumed the new Security Manager post.
Lori Hatfield-Jackson
Originally from Norman, Lori Hatfield-Jackson will head the Communications Department and direct
the public relations efforts of the Ardmore-based Foundation.
"It is an honor to be involved with an organization whose
core mission is to help our fellow mankind," she said. "Growing up in Norman and attending Oklahoma
State, I have always known and respected the Noble family and the positive impact the Foundation has
had on the state. Through its generosity in educational funding, contributions to agriculture producers
and nonprofit efforts, and the world-class scientific research it conducts, the lives which have been
touched are countless."
Hatfield-Jackson brings more than seven years experience
in various aspects of corporate communications, including her recent partnership with Hardy Brooks &
Jackson Public Relations. Their clients include the OU Sarkeys Energy Center, OU College of Geosciences,
Oklahoma Department of Commerce, and the Oklahoma State Department of Career Tech Education. She holds
a degree in agricultural communications from Oklahoma State University and plans to attain a master's
degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma.
Hatfield-Jackson is excited at becoming a part of the Ardmore
community. "Everyone I've visited with, at the Chamber, the realty company, shop owners, and the list
can go on, has gone above and beyond to welcome me and to offer help," she said. "I look forward to
raising my daughter here and growing with the Noble Foundation."
John Snelson
John Snelson, former Ardmore police chief and a 24-year veteran with the Houston Police Department,
assumed the new position of security manager for the Foundation on August 20. Before joining the Noble
Foundation, he was self-employed as a police consultant and insurance adjuster.
His educational background is in criminal justice, general
business and aviation management. In addition, Snelson has attended the FBI National Academy and received
Secret Service training. That training will be taking a somewhat different focus as he turns his training
to setting up security measures at the Foundation.
"Basically, I'll be taking a general view of everything in
place at this time, identifying other security needs and using that information to develop a complete
and thorough security program for the entire Foundation and all personnel," said Snelson, who started
Aug. 20.
Among his top priorities is establishing his accessibility
to all NF employees. He plans to visit with as many employees as possible during his first weeks of
work.
"Open communications and a high level of trust are both very
important," said Snelson. "We want the Foundation's security measures to be aesthetically pleasing,
but totally effective. We also need a security program that provides a secure environment with the least
inconvenience to employees. Most employees anywhere want to have a feeling of security without feeling
as though their personal or professional needs were not considered."
Snelson said he was pleased to get the position, because
it allows him to remain in Ardmore. "I really enjoy the community and the people here have been very
supportive for me and my family," he said.
He remains active in community activities, including serving
on the Crime Stoppers board of directors. He lives in Ardmore with his two sons, Jesse, a junior at
Ardmore High School, and John Jr., a sophomore at Oklahoma State University/Stillwater.
