Employees Promoted in Noble Foundation's Accounting Department
 
 
     

The Noble Foundation has promoted Jill Wallace to Director of Accounting and Finance and Carol Smith to External Funding Administrator.

"The Noble Foundation has talented employees capable of assuming new and challenging roles as our institution grows and faces new opportunities that can enhance our programs and operations," said Michael A. Cawley, Noble Foundation president. "Jill and Carol are examples of such talent."

Wallace will provide oversight of institutional accounting processes and procedures, monitor the investment performance of the Noble Foundation endowment, supervise department personnel and monitor financial aspects of Noble Foundation construction projects. Smith will administer the increasing amount of external research funding the Noble Foundation receives from state, federal and international agencies.

Wallace joined the Noble Foundation in 2005 as controller. Prior to joining the Noble Foundation, Wallace worked at Noble Energy, Inc. She held several positions there, including offshore gas revenue assistant supervisor and supervisor, Sarbanes-Oxley project administrator and, most recently, senior financial reporting accountant. Wallace is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in accounting. She became a certified public accountant in 1995. Wallace is married to Sam Wallace and has two children, Jackson and Parker.

Smith has been with the Noble Foundation since 1991, formerly serving as the accounts payable supervisor and business information manager. She became a certified public accountant in 1991. Smith is married to Glenn Smith, Jr. and has two children, Crystal DeVilbiss and Justin Smith, both of Stillwater.
