Seminar discusses progressive techniques for gardening

ARDMORE, Okla. — The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation will host a Vegetable Gardening Seminar from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at the Noble Foundation Kruse Auditorium (located at 2510 Sam Noble Parkway, Ardmore, Okla., 73401).
Attendees will learn about site selection, soil preparation, choosing the right variety of plants, planting considerations and growing techniques, among other topics.
"Gardening can be a difficult proposition in the Southern Great Plains considering the extreme weather and poor soil present in many of our communities," said Steve Upson, Noble Foundation horticulturist. "Participants will learn the latest tools and techniques for overcoming the many challenges to successful gardening."
