The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Inc.   Noble Foundation invites community to Fall Open House

The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation will celebrate the conclusion of its campus expansion project by hosting a Fall Open House for the surrounding community.

The Noble Foundation's Fall Open House will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16. A brief campus dedication will be held at 5:45 p.m. in the Campus Plaza - directly east of the new Administration Building.

The ceremony will be followed by tours of the new research facilities and the Noble Foundation's greenhouse, which, at about 47,000 square feet, is one of the largest research greenhouse in the United States. There will also be a come-and-go tour of the new Administration Building, allowing attendees to tour all three floors of the new facility and visit with members of each of the administration departments.

"This is a historic time for the Noble Foundation as we conclude a period of facilities expansion unrivaled since Lloyd Noble established the Noble Foundation 63 years ago," said Michael A. Cawley, President and Chief Executive Officer. "We have experienced tremendous growth in the past seven years, and we want to celebrate this achievement with the community that has been there every step of the way. We want to invite the community to join us for this noteworthy evening."

The Noble Foundation Board of Trustees initiated the planning stages of the expansion project in 1999, and construction began the following year. Throughout the next seven years, the Noble Foundation expanded its greenhouse facilities, constructed laboratories and added a new Administration building. The campus expansion also provided for the construction of a Utility Services Center, which includes more than 1,200 linear feet of tunnels that link each of the new buildings.

The Noble Foundation campus now includes more than 500,000 square feet of research and administration space, housing 325 full-time employees.
