The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Inc.   Moen joins Noble Foundation's legal affairs staff

The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation Department of Legal Affairs recently added a new corporate counsel to help provide legal guidance as the organization continues to grow.

Jeffery Moen, J.D., comes to the Noble Foundation from the Dallas office of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P., an international law firm where he worked for almost three years.

"The Noble Foundation is an outstanding organization," Moen said. "It provides me the unique opportunity to do the job I love, while being a part of an organization that strives to better the world around us. Not many people are fortunate enough to enjoy an opportunity like this."

In 1998, Moen earned a bachelor of business administration in finance from the University of Oklahoma (OU) before going on to complete his law degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in 2004. At Fulbright & Jaworski, Moen diversified his legal experience, working in both commercial litigation and corporate law departments within the law firm.

"As the Noble Foundation explores new opportunities both nationally and internationally, it is important that we have a strong legal team to provide insight and counsel," said Steve Rhines, Vice President and General Counsel. "Jeff brings valuable experiences as well as enthusiasm. He is an excellent addition to the Noble Foundation."

Born in Liberal, Kan., Moen met his wife, Ardmore-native Jenni Stearns, during their undergraduate education at OU.

The pair married just weeks after graduation and moved to Houston where Moen worked as an energy trader for Koch Energy Trading, while Jenni attended the University of Houston School of Law. Jenni is now a patent attorney with Baker Botts L.L.P.

Moen returned to school at SMU after Jenni graduated in 2001. During his time at SMU, Moen was the Marketing Editor for the SMU Law Review Association.

After finishing his law degree, the couple established successful legal careers in the Dallas area. The Moens settled into a routine of working and raising their two sons, Ethan, 3, and Dylan, 2, but, after a few years, they decided there was great benefit to raising children in a more family-oriented community.

The couple wanted to return to Ardmore because of their family ties. When the opportunity to move to the Noble Foundation came up, they jumped at the chance.

"The Noble Foundation provides such an unbelievable opportunity for me and my family," Moen said. "It's the perfect combination of career, community and family. We are elated to be in Ardmore and at the Noble Foundation."
