January 4 Dr. Bruce Roe, University of Oklahoma, visited the Plant Biology Division for discussions on Medicago truncatula genomic sequencing.  
January 11-12 Rick Dixon, Maria Harrison, Jinyuan Liu and Greg May attended the Medicago truncatula satellite meeting at the Plant and Animal Genome Meeting, San Diego.  
January 12 Rick Nelson visited Large Scale Biology, Vacaville, CA and gave a presentation.

April 6-11 Rick Dixon was an invited speaker at the Keystone Symposium on Plant Foods for Human Health, Breckenridge, Colorado. Nancy Paiva presented a talk and Chang-Jun Liu presented a poster at the Keystone Symposium.  
April 8-12 Maria Harrison will participate in a NSF grant panel, Washington, D.C .  
April 16-17 Drs. Ken Korth (University of Arkansas) and Seiichi Matsuda (Rice University) visited the Plant Biology Division for research discussions with Rick Dixon’s group.

April 27-29 The Noble Foundation hosted the 10th Annual Virology Mini-Retreat.

June 6-7 Scientists and management from Forage Genetics International visit ed the Plant Biology Division for discussions with Rick Dixon and Nancy Paiva in relation to current and proposed sponsored research projects.

July 6-15 Maria Harrison was a Co-organizer and speaker at the 4th Medicago truncatula workshop and was a Plenary session speaker at the 10th International Congress on Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, Madison, WI. Jinyuan Liu also presented at both meetings.
