Sam Noble Scholarship Program

Scholarships through this program are available to eligible southern Oklahoma students in all stages of their academic pursuits – from incoming freshmen to those seeking graduate degrees.
Sam Noble
The scholarship program was established by the late Sam Noble to encourage and enable outstanding students to continue their education. Sam Noble was a long-time member of the Noble Foundation Board of Trustees and son of Lloyd Noble, founder of the Noble Foundation.

Subject matter

Scholarships are offered in both agriculture-related and applied technology-related fields.

Applicant qualifications

Students residing within one of 15 south-central and southeastern Oklahoma counties, including Atoka, Bryan, Carter, Choctaw, Coal, Garvin, Jefferson, Johnston, Love, Marshall, McCurtain, Murray, Pontotoc, Pushmataha and Stephens, are eligible.

Students from other areas of the state or outside of Oklahoma are not eligible to apply.

Scholarships

Agriculture. Scholarships for students seeking undergraduate degrees in agriculture-related fields are $2,500 per semester for up to nine semesters. Scholarships for graduate students provide $3,125 per semester for up to five semesters.

Technology. Scholarships for students seeking associate's degrees or technical certifications from the specific institutions listed under "Qualifying Institutions" (below) are awarded $3,750 per year for up to two years.

Qualifying institutions

Agriculture. Recipients must attend a university having a college or division of agriculture from which the student can receive an agricultural-related baccalaureate (or higher) degree. Eligible institutions include: Oklahoma State University; Oklahoma Panhandle State University; Texas A&M in College Station, Texas; Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas; and all other land grant universities or colleges. Agriculture students attending two-year institutions may apply the winter/spring before transferring to a qualifying institution.

Technology. Eligible institutions include Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee and Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City.
