Position Summary
  Position: Postdoctoral Fellow/PB
Position ID: PB-S095-537

The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation seeks a postdoctoral research fellow with a degree in plant biochemistry, analytical biochemistry or a related field to contribute to a national, multi-lab, NSF 2010 project that is employing an arsenal of metabolomics tools to decipher the functions of unknown Arabidopsis genes. This project is funded for two years by NSF and is contingent on performance and continued funding. The successful candidate will use UPLC/QTofMS profiling to assess changes in a series of Arabidopsis insertional mutants. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in plant metabolomics, secondary metabolism or related fields. Successful completion of a PhD is required. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, creative thinker capable of independent thought and experimentation. Strong oral and written communications skills, good instrumental skills, and knowledge of plant metabolism or pollen development are highly advantageous. Research will be conducted in the laboratory of Dr. Lloyd W. Sumner, located in the Plant Biology Division at the Noble Foundation as a collaborative effort with Dr. Daphne Preuss.

The Noble Foundation offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience, excellent benefits, state-of-the-art research, greenhouse, laboratory, and office facilities.
