Cellular Imaging Facility

The Cellular Imaging Facility provides an imaging resource to advance plant biology research at the Noble Foundation. Relevant to this goal is the continued development and implementation of advanced cellular imaging methods, training of users and initiation of collaborative research work with principal investigators at the Foundation. The facility occupies a ten-room suite with about 3500 sq. ft. containing equipment for modern light microscopy and biological imaging. Researchers receive hands on training in order to use the equipment independently, or may use the equipment with the assistance of the cellular imaging support staff. Training and services offered within the facility include confocal laser scanning microscopy, wide field fluorescence microscopy, image processing and analysis, immunolocalization, microtomy, and other microscopy techniques applicable to plant biological research.
