About
Continuing the applied research program that began in the 1950s within the Agricultural Division, the Ag Research Team represents a critical component of the research programs conducted at the Noble Foundation. This group conducts multidisciplinary research intended to discover and demonstrate technologies and techniques that can be practically and effectively implemented by farmers, ranchers and stewards of natural resources in the southern Great Plains. Their research outcomes are not limited to this geography but find application in like agricultural production environments and livestock production systems around the world. Scientists, researchers and agricultural specialists collectively undertake proactive, market-driven research to address current and anticipated issues related to forage-based, beef cattle production, natural resource management and bioenergy production. The expertise of this research group mirrors that of the Agricultural Division, including animal science and livestock management, agricultural economics, agronomy, horticulture, range management, soils and crops and wildlife and fisheries. The outcomes of their research are regularly published but are also integrated into and disseminated through the agricultural consultation and educational programs of the Noble Foundation's Agricultural Division.
