Staff Scientist
Noble Researcher since 2004
Ph.D., Soil Science, 2004, Oklahoma State University
Dr. Mosali's primary research goal is to develop economically viable and environmentally sustainable crop and forage production systems through improvements in soil fertility. In order to achieve this goal, Dr. Mosali targets the development of Best Management Practices (BMP) that improves yield and quality of grasses and crops in the Southern Great Plains. Dr. Mosali's current research involves:
- Developing precision agricultural technologies for site-specific nutrient management to optimize profit and fertilizer.
- Evaluating the effect of soil fertility and applied essential plant nutrients (N, P, and K) including organic amendments on crop and forage production.
- Legumes for N mitigation in forage and crop production, assessment of crops and forages for alternative land use.
- Impact of biofuel supply (biomass) as a sustainable system for conservation
- Integration of forage, crops and livestock into a market driven sustainable production system that incorporates pasture utilization, grazing management of cool season and warm-season grasses.
