The inaugural Oklahoma Wildlife Expo will be held Aug. 27 and 28, 2005 at the Lazy E Arena between Edmond and Guthrie on Seward Road east of Interstate 35 (exit 151). It will be a showcase of outdoor, wildlife-related opportunities available in Oklahoma. The Expo includes more than 100 activities and booths providing fun and education for the whole family. The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is organizing the event, but they have many co-sponsors. The purpose for the Expo is to celebrate Oklahoma’s natural diversity and opportunities for sporting enthusiasts. The Expo should educate people about the importance of wildlife management to our quality of life, foster support for wildlife management and outdoor recreation and recruit future outdoor enthusiasts.
