Characteristics: Introduced, naturalized, annual, cool season grass to 2.5 feet. Leaf blades usually pubescent; inflorescence a panicle; spikelets compressed with 6-12 awnless or very short awned florets. Flowers April-July.

Plant community type: Open uplands and bottomlands. Prevalent on disturbed sites.
