Characteristics: Introduced, naturalized, annual, cool season, grass to 2.0 feet. Leaf blades usually pubescent to pilose; inflorescence usually a nodding panicle; spikelets usually with 4-6 awned florets. Flowers May-June.
Plant community type: Open upland and bottomland. Very common on disturbed soil.
