Agricultural Division Staff: James Locke
Locke serves as a soils and crops consultant in the Agricultural Division’s consultation program. He assists regional agricultural producers with soil fertility evaluation and recommendations; weed and pest management recommendations; and agronomic crop production. Prior to joining the Noble Foundation in 2004, Locke managed a private contract research company in West Texas and eastern New Mexico. In that capacity, he worked with a wide variety of agronomic and horticultural crops, conducting research on herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, plant growth regulators, adjuvants, fertilizers and additives. Locke is a certified crop advisor (CCA) by the American Society of Agronomy. He is a member of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants, Weed Science Society of America and Southern Weed Science Society. Locke grew up in Lubbock, Texas.
