Donnell serves as an associate economist for the Agricultural Division's Agricultural Research Team as well as a consultant in the division's consultation program. She joined the Noble Foundation in 2007.

While earning her graduate degree, she studied the costs and benefits of a preconditioning feeder calf program.

Donnell grew up on a cow-calf operation in northeast Oklahoma.
