Watch for announcements related to these events. Also, we constantly have tours of our farms by special groups. If you are a member of a producer group that would like to tour some of the Foundation properties, contact me and we can discuss the feasibility of a tour. Other events will be added throughout the year, so check the events page on our Web site from time to time to keep abreast of new events or for changes in dates or times that may occur. The page also has links to additional information like agendas, locations, etc., and you can usually register online for a particular event. The Web address is: www.noble.org/agevents.If you do not have Internet access, free access is usually available at your local library. Speaking of our Web site, there is a vast array of information available there. We have numerous publications available online as well as several agricultural production calculators. Archived issues of Ag News and Views are available, and information can be found by searching keywords, or by discipline or specialty. You can also see a complete listing of our Agricultural Division staff with their contact information. Additionally, our Ag Listing Directory is available on the Web site and includes four major categories: eCattleLog, hunting and recreational leases, custom hire listings, and hay and pasture available listings. If you have an interest in our Junior Beef Excellence Program and the associated Live Animal Evaluation Contest, we have the past seven years' results posted. Another youth-oriented event that is highlighted on the Web site is AgVenture - our four-day camp for high school students with an interest in agriculture. The 2008 AgVenture is June 2-5. Finally, information about our consultation program and our consulting teams is available via our Web site. The consultation program is the backbone of the Agricultural Division and its mission. If you are not familiar with it, review the information on the Web site and get acquainted. You may need our services and didn't even know it. Some are not eligible for our consultation services due to geographic constraints, but we may still be able to help you through our helpline telephone service. Call 580.224.6500 if you have an agricultural production question or problem, and perhaps we can provide you some assistance. If you need to visit with me or I can help answer a question, call 580.223.5810. |
