Donna K. Windel (right), Director of Granting, and Mary Kate Wilson, Granting Program Officer | Grantmaking at the Noble Foundation has continued to operate at a slow pace while the various construction projects on our campus are completed. Over the past several years, the budget for our expanded research and consulting operations has increased greatly. As a result, the funds available for grants are reduced. Although the trustees are reviewing a limited number of proposals, grantmaking continues to be an important part of Noble Foundation activities.
Organizations interested in applying for grant funds may submit a letter of inquiry for review.
In 2007, a total of 72 grants were approved representing $11.3 million. A total of $11,462,026 in grant funding was actually paid during the year. Thus far in 2008, the trustees have approved 40 new grants totaling $7 million.
