Characteristics: Introduced, naturalized, annual or biennial, cool season forb to 1.5 feet. Stems erect, decumbent, or ascending, usually much branched; leaves alternate, pinnately trifoliolate compound, stipulate; leaflets 3, hairless to sparsely hairy; inflorescence is a subglobose to short-cylindrical head, usually 20-40 flowered, usually 0.2-0.6 inch long; flowers usually yellowish, standard strongly striate. Flowers May-September.

Plant community type: Open areas. Frequently occurs along roadsides, in lawns, etc.
